I was born in 1962. This is a picture of me and my wonderful wife, Lisa -- a few years ago, of course!

I attended the University of Virginia from 1980-1992, but they finally made me leave after they ran out of degrees to give me. I taught for a while in Wisconsin, where I met Lisa, then lived for a while on the Eastern Shore before finally coming to Charlottesville where I taught at Piedmont Virginia Community College. I retired from teaching in 2023, and now am working full time as a game designer. Together Lisa and I have raised two fantastic kids.
